How We Got Here
We met when we were six. Our families both spent a week every summer at Three Mile Island Camp on Lake Winnipesaukee, swimming, hiking, and eating family-style dinners on the porch together. We were friends first, for a long time, and then somewhere along the way it turned into something more. Our first kiss was on the diving board, and after that we became pen pals during the school year, counting down the months until we’d see each other again every summer.
After all those years of summer crushes and school-year emails, we finally started dating for real once we got to college. Anna at UVM, Alex at Princeton. Long distance from the start, but we made it work.
The summer after freshman year, we both joined Three Mile Island croo, the 10-week live-in staff program that runs the camp. It was the longest stretch of time we’d ever spent together, and we spent it cooking, cleaning, hiking, and staying up way too late.
Alex founded the Princeton Coffee Club, an on-campus café. Anna was the first customer, and always the biggest supporter.
Somewhere in the middle of everything, we adopted our first bunny. She changed our lives immediately and completely.
After graduation we moved in together in Boston. Our first apartment, our first real kitchen, the beginning of the rest of our lives. We spent weekends hiking in the White Mountains and catching games at Fenway.
Anna finished her master’s at Tufts, we adopted bunny number two (Rusty), and made the move to New York City. We live with our best friends in the city and wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’ve never been great at sitting still.
There’s a diving board at Three Mile where we had our first kiss. We’ve taken a photo on it every year since.
In the summer of 2025, Alex got down on one knee on that same diving board, under the stars. Full circle.
We’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
